ABOUT
Joan Cooke (who also goes by the alias Joan Comics) is a passionate artist. She has been interested in cartooning and comic books since she was a young child. Her early influences include Life is Hell by Matt Greoning and Mad Magazine. For the past 5 years, she has been the illustrator for PhD Unknown, on ongoing series about grad life, science, and the unknown. Joan is currently doing freelance illustration work and commissions out of her home in Baltimore, MD.
